  • How do I install Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne?
      • Click the link above that says Complete Installation. Then follow the on-screen instructions.

  • Where do I download Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne?
      • Click the downloads link to your left.

  • How do I save XP?
      • Open up the war3ft.cfg file that is in this directory: addons/<amxdir>/configs/war3ft.cfg and make mp_savexp 1.

  • What is mysql?
      • If you have sv_mysql set to 1 which is in the war3ft.cfg file then the player's experience will be saved in a mysql database. BUT you must have mysql installed on your server and you must configure it properly. Visit mysql.com for more details.

  • What is the vault?
      • When you have mp_savexp set to 1 and sv_mysql is 0, the player's experienced is saved in a vault file (vault.ini). Do not manually change this file, bad things could happen.

  • Why doesn't the necklace protect against orc nades?
      • This question has come up a lot, and the answer is quite simple, because I don't want it to. The necklace of immunity protects against enemy ultimates, not abilities.

  • What is the difference between long and short term xp?
      • Short term experience is not saved, so with each map change you have to re-earn you experience. Also, when you gain experience and change races on short term, the experience gained stays with you. In long-term mode, you have to gain experience for each race individually. This experience is also saved so you can rejoin the server later and continue (unless the server admin deleted your experience).

  • How do I choose my language?
      • When you're in the game, type amx_langmenu in the console.

  • Is CS 1.5 supported?
      • Not any longer, sorry.

  • What mods are supported?
      • Counter-strike, Counter-strike: Condition Zero and Day of Defeat.

  • Will this work on a listen server?
      • Yes it does, but I'm not going to explain how because it is IDENTICAL to setting it up for a dedicated except you're putting the files in a different directory.

  • Is it possible to use bots with war3ft?
      • Yes it is possible, try googling for podbot.

  • I don't like orc nades, can I disable them?
      • I'd prefer you didn't, but you can alter the amount of damage done by opening up the war3ft/constants.inl file and change p_grenade. After you do this you will need to recompile the plugin. Also, I will not add an option to disable orc nades so do not ask.

  • Will this work for Counter-Strike Source?
      • Not yet, I'm working on it, but don't expect anything anytime soon.

  • I have an idea for a new race, will you add it?
      • No. I am open to suggestions on current races, but I will not add another.

  • What is the difference between amx and amxx?
      • I would strongly recommend using amxmod x(amxx) because I will no longer be updating the version for amx. This is because amxmod x has continued OPEN PUBLIC development, so I know that bugs are being fixed. Whereas with amx I don't really know that an update will be made.   • What happened to the blood elf?
      • The blood elf existed in Warcraft 3 XP (worked on by dopefish), not Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne.

  • What is the chameleon race?
      • It is a 9th race added by bad-at-this that will allow server administrators to either SET the skills for that race, or the skills will be randomly chosen each round. To set the skills, you may do so in your war3FT.cfg file.

  • Where do I find information on how to bind my keys?
      • Click here and scroll to the bottom.

  • Where is there a list of the skills and abilities?

  • How do I use abilities?
      • 98% of the skills are automatic. Ultimates need to be activated by binding a key to ultimate (see the binding question above). The only skill that requires another bind is serpent wards (Shadow Hunters have these). For this you need to bind a key to ability.

  • What is the difference between war3ft, war3x, war3, and UWC3?
      • Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne (war3ft) was written by me, Geesu (also known as Pimp Daddy). It is based off the original warcraft 3 by SpaceDude.

  • Why will the helm of excellence not work?
      • Because you're running statsme. You must disable statsme to allow helm to work (there is no way around this).
